Huddersfield Double Chance (Win or Draw)
Reasoning
Huddersfield vs West Bromwich Albion Predictions
- Huddersfield have lost only four of 16 home league games since August
- West Brom have failed to win six of their last seven away Championship fixtures
- West Brom have not won any of their last four league visits to John Smith’s Stadium
Breitenreiter will demand better
Huddersfield boss Andre Breitenreiter was unhappy with his side’s first-half showing at Cardiff on Wednesday and will demand much better from the Terriers when they take on promotion-chaisng West Brom on Sunday.
The German’s first taste of defeat in England was a bitter one as Town failed to turn up in the first half and missed a great late chance to take a perhaps underserved point back to West Yorkshire.
Huddersfield could have been suffering from a hangover from their 1-1 draw with Leeds last Saturday in which they were made to work very hard fot a point after going down to 10 men in the first half.
Baggies rarely win on the road
They should relish the chance to face a Baggies side that were given a thorough going over by Queens Park Rangers in Wednesday. The fact that they escaped Loftud Road with a draw was down to a crazy couple of minutes in which they scored both of their goals, but Carlos Corberan’s side were otherwse completely dominated.
The Baggies are without so many attacking players at the moment that is hard to see them winning this clash with a Terriers team scrapping against relegation. Albion have won only one of their last seven away league games and none of their lats four trips to Huddersfield, of which three ended in defeat.
The likelihood of a stalemate is strong given three of WBA’s last four away trips have been drawn and only Coventry have drawn more Championship home games than Town’s seven.
