- Hull are unbeaten in their last 13 League One matches, winning 10 of those games.
- The Tigers have only lost four of their 26 league games since the turn of the year.
- The last meeting between the two sides ended in a 5-0 victory for Hull.
Tigers roaring towards League One title
Hull City have already secured promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking and they can seal the League One title if they better Peterborough’s result on Saturday.
The Tigers have timed their promotion push perfectly, as they are currently on a 13-match unbeaten run, with 10 of those games ending in victory.
Indeed, Grant McCann has only seen his side lose four of their 26 league games since the turn of the year, a run that includes a 5-0 victory at Wigan in mid-February.
Wigan were deep in the relegation mire when they lost that game, but the Latics have taken 13 points from their last five matches to move four points clear of the drop zone.
A victory at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday would guarantee survival for Leam Richardson’s side and it is easy to forget Wigan did thrash Hull 8-0 in the Championship less than a year ago.
A lot has changed since that match at the DW Stadium, however, and we are predicting Hull to secure all three points on Saturday, which could be enough to see them crowned league champions.
We also predict the match will be much tighter than recent meetings between the two sides, with our prediction of a 2-1 Hull win reflecting just how close it could be.
