      Palmeiras To Win To Nil

      Reason for tip

Palmeiras have been the strongest team in Group A and they can prove their ability by beating Inter Miami to nil in Florida. The Brazilians have kept nine clean sheets in 12 matches and have allowed just five shots on target against them at this tournament, suggesting they should have far too much for an Inter side who have won only three of their last eight.

      Palmeiras 2-0

      Reason for tip

Palmeiras know their passage to the last 16 is all-but secured, so they are unlikely to exert themselves too much against Inter. Two goals were enough to see off Al Ahly in their previous match and that should get the job done against Miami, too.

Inter Miami CF vs Palmeiras Predictions

      • Inter Miami beat Porto 2-1 last time but that was just their third win in eight matches
      • Palmeiras, meanwhile, have won 16 of their 20 games since March
      • The Brazilians have kept nine clean sheets in 12 matches, shutting out their opponents in both of their Club World Cup games

Palmeiras primed to seal top spot

Lionel Messi’s hopes of landing a fourth Club World Cup title were boosted massively by Inter Miami’s 2-1 win over Porto in their second game, meaning the Argentinian’s side now only need a point to progress into the knockout stages.

However, earning that point may prove a tricky task as their final group-stage game comes against the best side in the section, Palmeiras.

The Brazilians were unfortunate not to beat Porto in their opener, racking up 2.08 expected goals in that 0-0 draw, but swiftly got back to winning ways against Al Ahly, cruising to a 2-0 victory.

Miami may let down Florida faithful

Palmeiras know a point would also secure their passage into the last 16 but given they have won 16 of their 20 matches since March, it seems unlikely that they will play for a draw in Florida.

Abel Ferreira’s side allowed just five shots on target across their opening two matches in this tournament and despite the presence of Luis Suarez and Messi, they may score a comfortable victory.

The Big Green have kept nine clean sheets in 12 matches and should extend that to ten in 13 against an inconsistent Inter.
