Inverness CT vs Aberdeen Predictions
Inverness CT were subjected to an expected defeat before the international break when they faced the arduous and thankless task of visiting Celtic Park, coming away 3-0 losers.
This ended a three match unbeaten streak and resigned them to just their second defeat in their last ten outings in the Premiership. They have only won three of these ten games though, drawing half of them to put themselves in 6th position in the table.
Inverness CT’s home record of wins isn’t much better, with just two of their seven home games in the league ending in a win. Three draws and two defeats make up the remainder of the results.
One thing they haven’t been shy of is scoring goals. They have managed to net 13 goals in their seven home league games, with Losana Doumbouya netting three in his last four home games. He’s a good choice for an anytime goalscorer prediction at 3/1 with bet365.
Aberdeen have a few players capable of finding the net, with Adam Rooney, Jayden Stockley, and Niall McGinn all having three to their name this season. All of Rooney’s have come away from home though, so he’s the best bet for an Aberdeen goalscorer at 6/5.
The visitors managed to get back to winning ways before the international break as they beat Partick Thistle 2-1. This followed on from back to back defeats to Hamilton Academical and Celtic, and they will be hoping to rekindle the form they were in before those losses. They have still won seven of their last nine and sit 2nd in the table, although the ten point gap between them and Celtic already looks insurmountable.
As far as the overall result goes I think this could be a high scoring one. Aberdeen do have the capability to be defensively sound, but they have conceded in their last three matches and are facing an Inverness CT side in good form going forward. Five of Inverness CT’s seven home games this season have seen at least three goals scored, whilst Aberdeen have been involved in high scoring games in four of their seven away days in the league.
This makes odds of 1/1 for Over 2.5 Goals look a solid prediction, and I’m also backing a 2-1 win for Aberdeen at 15/2 for my correct score predictions.
