Inverness CT Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Kilmarnock have struggled on their travels this season, losing 13 of their 15 away games in the Scottish Premiership, and they are worth opposing in this cup quarter-final against Inverness, who dumped out Livingston last time out in the competition.

Inverness CT 1-0

Reason for tip

Kilmarnock have seen under 2.5 goals in three of their last four matches and that points to a low-scoring game, which Inverness can win by a 1-0 margin.

Inverness CT vs Kilmarnock Predictions

  • Kilmarnock have lost 13 of their 15 away games in the Scottish Premiership this season
  • Three of Kilmarnock’s last four matches have featured under 2.5 goals
  • Inverness stormed to a 3-0 win over top-tier side Livingston last time out

Travel-sick Killie could come unstuck in Inverness

Scottish Championship side Inverness have enjoyed an unlikely run in the Scottish Cup this season but they face a tough quarter-final against top-tier side Kilmarnock on Friday.

Inverness’s cup campaign began against fourth-tier Stirling Albion in the third round in November and they were made to work for victory, having gone 1-0 down in that contest.

They then took on divisional rivals Queen’s Park, initially losing only to later be awarded a win due to their opponents having fielded an ineligible player.

And it was in the fifth round that Inverness really impressed, sweeping aside European hopefuls Livingston 3-0 to make the quarter-finals.

Awaiting them are another Scottish Premiership side but Kilmarnock were only plying their trade in the second tier last season and could be set for a return to the Scottish Championship with relegation looming.

Killie have been particularly poor on their travels this season, failing to pick up a league win on the road and losing 13 of their 15 away games in the Scottish Premiership.

That does not bode well for this trip to Inverness and the home side are worth chancing in the draw-no-bet market. As for a correct score prediction, it could be a cagey affair so a 1-0 win for Inverness is appealing.
