Tip Reasoning

Istanbul Basaksehir have it all on the line this weekend, as they aim to climb in to top spot, while hoping for a swing in results which could land them the title. They sit third as things stand, but they are gunning to close the three point gap to leaders Galatasaray, knowing that they have the head to head advantage over the side currently top of the Super Lig standings. On top of that, they’ll at least want to pip Fenerbahce in to the top two and make the Champions League next season, after going out in qualifying this term.

They host a Kasimpasa side who are eighth in the table, with nothing to play for on the final day of the campaign. However, they have struck form of late, and that could worry the hosts. Basaksehir are aiming to finally make a big splash in Turkish football, having added some big names in recent years, aiming to dethrone their city rivals by winning the league. That looks unlikely this year, but can they finish with a victory?

The visitors are coming here with a poor record on the road, while they’ve had issues at the back to contend with. They’ve let in 1.63 goals per game on their travels ahead of this visit, and you’d imagine that Basaksehir are going to be fired up for the game on Saturday. The hosts have averaged just over two goals per game at their own ground this season, and they should add to that here, having found the net in 94% of their home matches this term.

However, will the visitors spring some surprises against their city rivals? Their scoring record has improved of late, having won their last two matches, scoring eight times across those games. They’ve seen BTTS land in three of their previous four meetings with Basaksehir, and based on the visitors’ scoring form in May so far we can see a high scoring clash here.

Kasimpasa have seen both teams score in 70% of their Super Lig matches, having found the net in 85% of their games this season. They should score against a team who have one clean sheet in their previous five matches, so we’re backing both teams to score in Saturday’s encounter, which seems well priced given the form of these two.
