However, both have an eye on a place in the knockouts at this tournament. Argentina are hoping to follow in the footsteps of the men’s team who were crowned World Champions last year, while Italy are shaping up as a force – in spite of their terrible Euros display a year ago.

Italy’s dire Euros can’t fully be cancelled out by their good form coming into this tournament. They have won three of their last four and they boast some impressive attacking options from Serie A champions Roma, so they should impress going forward. Argentina concede an average of 4.1 goals per World Cup game but they now armed with their own attacking threat, making both teams to score the standout option.
