      Juventus vs Bologna Predictions

What are we supposed to do with Juventus then? They picked up a second straight impressive Champions League win in midweek action, but the defending Serie A champions are 15th in the table with just one win through the first six games of the season. Last weekend they’ve lost to Napoli and they were held to a draw by Frosinone in their previous game. We could analyse different aspects of this team, but a number of aspects clearly aren’t working right now. The club needs to re-establish its midfield, building around Paul Pogba, but his own play hasn’t been especially strong of late and the pieces around have been chopped and changed.

Bologna ought to be a winnable game. The club is second from bottom in Serie A and they cost themselves a decent opportunity to move up the table by losing a home game to fellow strugglers Udinese last weekend. It was always likely to be a tough year for Bologna, but they’ll take heart from Frosinone’s performance from a couple of weeks ago, where they travelled to Turin and picked up a result against Juventus. This isn’t a guaranteed defeat as it was one year ago.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Form

Juventus has one win in six Serie A games, yes they are at home, but we don’t see Bologna as pushovers and breaking a two-goal Asian Handicap implies that Pogba and co will find a way to pick up rhythm. We’re not willing to count on that…

      2. Bologna aren’t pushovers

Bologna haven’t been beaten by more than two goals yet this season and they’ve yet to get run ragged by anyone. They don’t have a whole lot to offer going forward, but they’re organised in their approach and perhaps they actually benefit stylistically from being away from home and big underdogs.

      3. Looking at the odds

We don’t quite side on the lots of goals front, the BTTS market isn’t worth the risk and the odds on a straight forward Juventus win are not attractive. There’s nothing in a 2/9 for a side that’s been so poor this season. The Asian Handicap is the bettor’s choice.
