Juventus vs Manchester City Predictions
After dominating domestically last season, along with reaching the Champions League Final, it’s quite surprising to see Juventus struggling a bit this term.
They began their season with just two wins from their opening seven games, and although they have improved since then they still don’t look like the force they were last season.
They sit in 2nd position in Champions League Group D, one point behind leaders Manchester City and five points clear of Sevilla in 3rd. This means that a draw would all but guarantee qualification to the knockout stages.
Juventus are currently unbeaten in four games in all competitions, and they have won three of these matches.
They have only lost once on home turf this season, with five of their nine home matches ending in victory for the Turin giants.
Manchester City saw their own unbeaten streak come to an abrupt end on Saturday when Liverpool thrashed them 4-1 at the Etihad.
This was their first loss in ten games, with seven of those seeing the Premier League title contenders win.
But this loss did see them drop from 1st in the Premier League to 3rd, so the margins are tight at the moment and they can’t afford to let anything slip.
Manchester City have seen both sides hit the back of the net in 12 of their last 14 matches in all competitions, and even though Juventus have kept a clean sheet three times in their last five matches I think that Man City will get at least one goal. Both teams have also scored in all of their three encounters in the past.
These statistics make a Both Teams to Score bet look promising, and odds of 5/6 for this outcome look really good value considering Man City’s recent scoring record. I’m also looking at a 2-1 Juventus Win at good value odds of 8/1.
