Kalmar FF vs BK Hacken Predictions
- Kalmar’s last four matches have ended in consecutive 1-0 victories.
- Under 2.5 goals would have landed in all four of Kalmar’s last four competitive matches.
- Hacken have only lost one of their previous 15 away from home.
Tough to pick a winner in Kalmar
League-leaders Hacken are back in action on Monday as they prepare to travel to Kalmar, who are just outside the top three after the first 21 games of the season. Since losing 3-2 to Djurgarden in the middle of August, Kalmar have enjoyed a four-match winning run, keeping a clean sheet in all of those encounters.
Henrik Rydstrom’s side are full of confidence of late, and although they lost 3-1 to Hacken in May, they beat their rivals 4-1 on their travels last season. Hacken’s last league defeat away from home came in November 2021, and they will expect to continue their fine run on Monday.
Monday’s tie to buck the trend
Only two of the previous ten meetings between Kalmar and Hacken have ended in a draw, but Monday’s encounter could change that.
The last 1-1 draw between the two sides occurred in September 2019, but Kalmar’s recent form suggests they will be tough to break down on this occasion. Roda broda have only conceded three goals in their previous ten matches at home in the Swedish top flight, and only Djurgarden have a better defensive record than them this season.
As the league’s top scorers with 50 goals from 21 matches, Hacken will pose a serious threat to that record, but they had to settle for a 1-0 win in their last game away from home. Last time out, Hacken were held to a 2-2 draw by Degerfors, and if they aren’t at their best, Getingarna can still grab a share of the spoils in a low-scoring stalemate.
