Kayserispor vs Sivasspor Predictions

Kayserispor head into final lacking momentum

It is only a matter of days since these two teams last met, with Sivasspor coming out on top courtesy of a 2-1 victory.

That was a first defeat in four for Kayserispor, who had won two in a row, but those couple of victories are their only successes over a run of eight outings.

Hikmet Karaman, who guided Kocaelispor to Turkish Cup glory in 2002, has struggled to get a handle on his side’s defence, as they have kept just two clean sheets in their last 18 outings.

The saving grace though is they are strong at the other end of the field, with both teams scoring in 13 of those 18 games, including seven of the last nine.

Sivasspor eying glory

Whereas Kayserispor have lifted the Turkish Cup once before, back in 2008, this is a first final for Sivasspor, who have only lost one of their last eight, winning five of those matches.

Managed by Rıza Çalımbay, who won the tournament three times in his playing days with Besiktas, they have been particularly strong away from home, where they are unbeaten in six.

Clean sheets are a rarity though, failing to keep one in 11 on the road, while both teams have scored in each of their last five on their travels, as well as 10 of their last 12 at all venues.

I predict this will be a reasonably high scoring contest, with both teams to score my initial selection and a Sivasspor victory by a 3-1 margin my correct score prediction.
