Hosts set to be too strong

Larne secured a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their Conference League qualifier against KF Prishtina but they look likely to fall to defeat when they visit the Kosovan side in the second leg of this clash.

The Northern Irish side have lost eight of their last 11 European away games and may struggle to replicate what they managed in the first round of qualifying in which they beat Auda on penalties after a 2-2 aggregate draw.

Prishtina beat Sheriff Tiraspol 2-1 at home in a Europa League qualifier earlier this summer before losing away to see them drop down to this level and should be too strong for Nathan Rooney’s side.

The hosts also beat Bodo/Glimt in their own back yard back in 2021/22 so cannot be underestimated and were a touch unlucky not to secure an away win at Inver Park.

Larne made the league stage of the Conference League last season but lost all but one of their six games and may crash out before reaching that point this season, take Prishtina to win this one.

Seven of Larne’s last 11 European away matches have seen them to lose and fail to score so a 2-0 win for the hosts is fancied.
