Kidderminster vs Halifax Predictions

  • Halifax have won three of their last four matches with totals of 11, 4 and 5 goals in those games.
  • Kidderminster have scored 24 goals and conceded seven in their last nine home games (3.44 avg).

Harriers and Shaymen look potent in attack

A high-scoring contest should be on the cards when Kidderminster Harriers try to knock another National League team out of the FA Cup this weekend.

Russ Penn’s men ousted Grimsby in round one and now turn their attention to an in-form Halifax side that scored seven at home to Maidenhead to secure their trip to Aggborough.

The famous old non-league ground has seen it’s fair share of giantkilling acts and there could be another upset on the cards here as Kidderminster arrive with superb home form of their own.

Nine games unbeaten, the Harriers have won their last four on home turf, scoring 13 goals and conceding just once during that sequence. Based on this season’s average of 3.44 goals per game at Aggborough, there’s a good chance this clash could produce at least three and probably four.

Bold goals play could pay off

And given Halifax’s recent goalscoring antics, we feel emboldened to take an over 3.5 goals bet for this game as our main selection. The Shaymen scored the lion’s share in their 11-goal first-round home win over Maidenhead and then followed up with three more at Dover in their next match.

Town boss Pete Wild says his side played arguably their best football of the season when winning 3-2 at Torquay last weekend, so we rate their chances of racking up some goals on Sunday.

The forecast of a 2-2 scoreline reflects how even this game appears on paper with both sides possessing potent strikeforces and both managers promising to play attacking football.
