Swiss are bound for Germany

Switzerland have moved early to take charge of Group I, taking 10 points from their first four games. They’re lucky not to have a perfect record going into September’s fixtures, having drawn 2-2 against Romania after leading from the 28th minute, only to ship twice right at the end of the game.

Kosovo are struggling to keep up, having yet to win across their first four matches. They had drawn each of their first three before a 2-1 loss in Belarus, but another loss looms with the visitors focused in on qualification.

Swiss to prove too strong

The visitors have dominated in this group, taking a 2-0 lead in each of their four games so far. They have produced away wins at Belarus and Andorra, while they made the 2022 World Cup after topping a group which contained Italy.

The Swiss won five of their eight games in the qualifying campaign for Qatar, drawing twice with the European champions. The visitors also finished 2022 with three straight Nations League wins, before making the last 16 at the World Cup.

Given how well the Swiss have started this group, they look too short for a win at Kosovo. The visitors have won six of their last seven Euro qualifiers, so back them to see off Kosovo.
