Kristiansund BK vs Bodo Glimt Predictions

  • Kristiansund have lost six of their seven league games played so far in 2022.
  • Bodo Glimt have won three of their five away league games in 2022.
  • Kristiansund have failed to score in three of their last five league contests.

Injuries starting to clear up for Knutsen’s champions

Kristiansund sit rock bottom of the Eliteserien table with just a solitary point and stand little chance of adding to that meagre tally against reigning champions Bodo Glimt this weekend. The first few months of the season have been challenging for Glimt as they have lost ground to their title rivals and been hit by a spate of injuries.

Good news could just be around the corner for coach Kjetil Knutsen as several plays look set to be reintroduced to the first team in the next few weeks.

Winger Ola Solbakken has not played since the cup final in early May, but is making good progress in training after an operation. Midfielder Sondre Brunstad Fet has also recently started training with the team again, so might not be far away. Brothers Morten and Anders Ågnes Konradsen have both been out with injuries this season, but big brother Anders has resumed full training and is available this weekend. Midfielder Gaute Vetti, who suffered a muscle strain in training before last month’s loss at Molde, is back in training this week too.

Points are there for the taking against basement club

There’s no doubt that a full strength Glimt would win this match with a bit to spare, but KBK have been so bad that there really shouldn’t be much doubt about the points heading north. Kristiansund have lost six of their seven games and four of them without scoring, which suggests to us that a win to nil could be in the offing for Knutsen’s side.

They are yet to keep an away clean sheet this term, but they haven’t played a team as woeful as the one they will meet on Sunday either. Kristiansund even lost a friendly to Division .1 strugglers Stjordals-Blink in the last week and again failed to score. Our prediction of a 2-0 away win to the champions could even be a bit on the conservative side as Glimt did hit four at Haugesund last month, but they average just under two goals per game on the road in 2022.
