LA Galaxy to pile the pressure on Dallas

LA Galaxy enjoyed a fantastic start to the season, winning four of their first five games but they’ve come back down to Earth in recent weeks with three losses in their last six games. They’ve certainly been able to find the net with 17 goals in 11 games, ten of those coming from Javier Hernandez, but they’ve conceded the same amount with their leaky defence costing them points.

Dallas have endured a nightmare MLS campaign so far with just 11 points accumulated and they currently sit second bottom of the Western Conference. Most worrying has been their away form with the side losing all four of their games on the road and only scoring one goal, a late strike when they were already three goals down to San Jose.

LA Galaxy are the hot favourites for this contest and rightly so but their odds of 8/11 still look quite generous as they take on an opponent that has yet to find a point away from home. We’re backing the home side to pick up all three points and we think they do so with a couple of goals to spare. Galaxy have scored at a rate of 1.54 goals per game this season and Dallas have conceded at the same rate and we think a similar pattern occurs here with a forecast of a 2-0 in the favour of LA Galaxy.
