LA Galaxy vs New England Revolution Betting Tips & Predictions

LA Galaxy have been both impressive and frustrating so far this season. They have produced fine displays such as their comeback against DC United that saw them score four second half goals, their 3-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes, their 4-1 win at Houston Dynamo, and their 5-2 thrashing of the in form Real Salt Lake. However, these excellent displays have been interspersed with frustratingly poor draws against Whitecaps, Portland Timbers, and most recently Sporting Kansas City, along with their 1-0 defeat to Colorado Rapids.

One defeat in their opening eight matches is by no means a poor record, but the LA Galaxy fans will wonder why they can’t turn on the style every week, or at least find a happy medium.

LA Galaxy’s 15 point haul does put them up in 4th in the MLS Western Conference, just two points behind leaders Colorado Rapids and with at least a game in hand on two of the three teams above them.

New England Revolution’s season is much more frustrating. They have only won one game all season and find themselves down in 7th position in the MLS Eastern Conference and having played more games than anyone in the division.

They are reluctantly putting themselves forward as the MLS’ draw specialists. Seven of their ten outings have resulted in a stalemate, with two 3-0 defeats and a 1-0 win making up the remainder of their results.

Both of these defeats have been away from home, and they are faced with the task of stopping an LA Galaxy side who have scored 13 goals in their four home matches this season. New England Revolution have conceded 12 goals in their five away days so far, so backing an LA Galaxy Win at 8/11 looks like a good option to me. I’m going for a 4-1 correct score prediction at huge odds of 22/1 as well because it certainly isn’t out of the question given the visitors terrible defensive record so far.
