      Las Palmas vs Granada Predictions

The Canary Islanders are making a decent fight of their first season back in the top flight in over a decade but slipped into the relegation zone just before the Christmas break when they lost 1-0 at Espanyol. They are still only 1 point shy of Granada, who are just outside the drop-zone and will be targeting a win here which could even move them as high as 14th.

It’s congested at the bottom of the table and that might just suit Granada who are no strangers to relegation scraps and usually find some way to get themselves out of trouble. They were also beaten last time out though, losing 2-0 at home to Celta Vigo but they had won twice in succession prior to that although one of those games was against Segunda Division opposition in the Copa del Rey.

There have been very few goals at the Estadio de Gran Canaria in the league this season. Only 10 have been scored in the 8 matches at the stadium and we are yet to see both teams score in a Las Palmas home game. The Gran Canaria side have the 2nd worst goalscoring record in the league and given Granada will be missing one of their most exciting attacking players with Isaac Success suspended, backing ‘No’ in the ‘Both Teams to Score’ market at 8/11 might be a smart move.

Las Palmas have though won 4 of their last 7 home games and they will fancy this and given they are yet to win on the mainland this term, home results are going to be crucial. They might just edge this 1-0 and can be backed to do so at 5/1.
