Latvia to Win

Reason for tip

Latvia have won two of their last five games at home, including a 2-0 victory over Armenia last year. Armenia are on a run of eight away games without a win.

Latvia 1-0

Reason for tip

Latvia’s only UEFA Nations League win so far this campaign was a 1-0 success against Faroe Islands, one of two occasions in their last five home games they have kept a clean sheet. Armenia have failed to score in three of their last seven away matches.

Latvia vs Armenia Predictions

  • Latvia have won two of their last five home games
  • Armenia are on an eight-match run without a victory on the road
  • The 11 Wolves have lost just two of their last six Nations League matches in Latvia

Can Latvia avoid the drop?

Latvia were promoted to League C of the UEFA Nations League for the first time this season, and they have not found life particularly easy, accumulating just four points so far.

However, the 11 Wolves did register their only win on home soil, a 1-0 victory over the Faroe Islands, with whom they also drew 1-1 last month.

In fact, their record in Latvia is pretty good, winning three of their last five outings in this competition at the Skonto Stadium, as well as beating opponents for this fixture Armenia 2-0 there in Euro 2024 qualifying.

Armenia in a similar battle

That is not good news for the visitors, who have a hideous away record, going eight matches without a victory on the road, losing six times.

One of those defeats was a 2-0 reversal against North Macedonia in this competition, which means they sit locked with Latvia on four points from five games.

Given the loser will be at risk of relegation to League D, Armenia will be keen to turn the trend around, but four defeats in their last five UEFA Nations League clashes on their travels inspires little confidence.

I predict that Latvia will win this game, picking 1-0 as a correct score prediction.
