Defences to be tested in Italy

Lazio are coming off the back of an impressive win over city rivals Roma at the weekend and will now look to claim their first group stage points of this Europa League campaign when they entertain Lokomotiv Moscow. They lost 1-0 to Galatasaray in their opening group game and now welcome a side who are currently on a 10 match unbeaten streak.

The visitors were impressive in their competition opener against Marseille as they held the French side to a 1-1 draw, despite being down to 10 men. They will be hopeful of gaining a point here but will have to improve on their poor history when facing Italian sides where they’ve won one, drawn four and lost eight.

Lazio are scoring an average of 2.5 goals this season and this one looks as though it will be attack v defence. Lokomotiv managed just five shots in their away draw to Marseille in matchday one and they’ll need to improve on that if they’re to cause a shock here. That being said, the home side have conceded in eight games straight which highlights the frailty at the back.
