In 2014/15, Coppa Italia success was part of a general story of domestic football success for Lazio. 2015/16 has been very different so far as the Rome-based outfit have failed to win a game in Italian football since October. Success in the Coppa Italia could prove to be a spark for this team. Given Lazio’s struggles, they are probably undeserving of their heavy favourites tag.

Udinese have suffered back-to-back heavy defeats to Fiorentina and Inter Milan losing 3-0 and 4-0. However, Lazio’s poor form combined with the earlier game between the two teams this season ought to offer them a source of confidence overall.
