Lecce vs Lazio Predictions

The Wolves are on the rise

Lecce have tightened up at the back this season and can prevent Lazio from scoring multiple goals at Via del Mare on Saturday. The Wolves are on the improve in general and, after spending eight of the first 12 matchdays in the relegation zone, they head into Christmas in 14th place.

Whether that improvement, which has seen Lecce claim a 1-1 draw with Juventus and beat Monxa 2-1 in their last two home league games, will be enough to take down Lazio is difficult to decide.

Marco Baroni’s men have been a streaky side this season that have put together some lengthy winning runs before occasionally throwing in a shocker.  Count Monday’s 6-0 home reverse to Fiorentina in the latter category.

Lazio have lacked goals in Lecce

That result came only a few days after the Biancocelesti had overcome Napoli in back-to-back league and cup games before beating Ajax 3-1 in Amsterdam. They could be brilliant again here or suffer another blip, so a bet on the goals market may be the best option.

Lecce shipped 15 goals in their first six home games of the season, but something has clicked for them in the last month as their opponents have managed to score only three times in the last four games at Via del Mare.

When you consider that Lazio have managed to score exactly once in four of the last five meetings, including three in Lecce, then opposing the visitors to score multiple times looks like the play.
