Leeds vs Bolton Predictions
This match sees a team with a very poor home record play host to a side with an even worse away record so this is unlikely to be a classic but it is of huge significance for the visitors. Bolton are 7 points off safety having picked just 1 point from their last 4 matches while the teams above them have picked up some good results. Defeat here could leave Bolton a massive 10 points off safety depending on other results and it will be very tough for them to recover from that with only 11 games to go after this one.
Leeds don’t come into this in good form either though and failed to win any of their 5 matches in February, going out of the FA Cup at Watford and losing 2 of their 4 league games including a heavy 4-0 defeat at Brighton on Monday night. Leeds have won just 4 times at home in the league in the past 12 months although they have all come under Steve Evans. During that 22 game period incredibly they have only scored more than 1 goal on 2 occasions at Elland Road and once again there is a mood of discontent at the club with Leeds nowhere near ending their long absence from the top flight.
Spirit in the Bolton camp and amongst the fans remains pretty good considering all the problems they’ve been faced with this season. They are still without an away win this season but have been much more competitive in recent weeks and have picked up a few home wins to keep them just about in touch. Their last 4 games were all tough ones and they were only beaten by 1 goal against promotion chasing Burnley, Brighton and Birmingham in contrast to Leeds who were absolutely blown away on the South Coast on Monday.
Bolton tend to play some good football in spells but struggle to put 90 minutes together so consider going for Bolton to win either half at 11/8 here, which appeals given how poor Leeds have been of late.
