      Leeds vs Hull Predictions

Both sides come into this game on the back of a few poor results. Hull had climbed to the summit of the Championship table but for the first time this season things haven’t really gone their way over the past couple of weeks.

First came a disappointing 1-1 draw away at struggling Bristol City and they needed a late goal from Shaun Maloney to even get that. Next came a crunch home clash with fellow promotion hopefuls Derby County but it was the Rams who were much the more impressive side on the night and they came away with a 2-0 success. They named a fairly strong side in midweek for the Capital One Cup Quarter Final at Manchester City and fought bravely but conceded 3 late goals to exit the competition with a 4-1 defeat.

Leeds had no such distractions so should be the fresher of the two teams but back-to-back 1-0 defeats against Rotherham and QPR have left Steve Evans with plenty to ponder on. Leeds had won their two league games prior to that though so it’s a bit hard to know what to expect from them and they have perhaps made slight improvements overall since Evans took charge.

Hull are much stronger on home soil than away from home and given they have seemed a little below the standard they had been reaching in recent weeks, they might not have quite enough to secure all 3 points here. Leeds can be backed at 5/6 to secure a draw or better from the game which seems like reasonably good value.

It’s unlikely to be more than a draw though. Leeds have only won 1 of their last 14 home games in the Championship and it will be a big ask for them to take all the points here. Both Leeds and Hull have already been involved in five 1-1 draws so far this season and this has all the makings of another one and you can back that to be the case at 11/2.
