Lega to clinch top six berth

Leganes have won 14 of their 20 home matches this term and Los Pepineros can seal their Play-Off place with a victory over Malaga at Butarque on Monday evening.

Bouncing back to La Liga at the first time of asking is never an easy feat, but while Lega have never really been in contention for automatic promotion, they’ll head into the end of season Play-Off shoot-out as favourites to reach the top tier.

Their consistency at Butarque this term has been key to keeping them in the hunt and Asier Garitano’s men have been rock solid on their own turf, conceding just 12 goals and maintaining ten clean sheets.

With Malaga winless in six (D2, L4), booked for no more than a mid-table finish and beaten without scoring on their last two away outings, this should be a fairly straightforward success for the hosts who have also won the last three encounters between the sides.

Malaga have conceded just 24 goals on the road though and only once in five of their last six matches, so we’re also tipping up a 1-0 correct score, which may not quite reflect how comfortable Lega look set to be on the night.
