Leicester City vs Fulham predictions for Monday’s Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium. Fulham hope to move out of the Premier League drop zone when they face Leicester on Monday. Read on for all our free Premier League predictions and betting tips.
Leicester may have been humbled at a depleted Liverpool last weekend, but they showed tremendous determination in midweek as they came from behind three times to take a point from Sporting Braga in the Europa League.
Despite these two failures to win, the Foxes still hold an excellent recent record. They have emerged victorious in six of their last eight games and in the Premier League they have won six of their nine outings this season, leaving them only two points adrift of the top spot.
While Brendan Rodgers’ side have been impressive all over the pitch, Jamie Vardy is once again the standout performer. The Leicester talisman has scored ten goals in ten appearances in all competitions and has found the net in five of his last six matches. He also scored a brace in Fulham’s last trip to the King Power Stadium, so backing him in the anytime goalscorer market is well worth it.
One of the pre-season favourites for relegation, Fulham are showing very little signs of defying the odds this season. They come into gameweek ten 18th in the table having lost seven of their nine matches so far.
Only the winless West Brom and Sheffield United hold a worse record, and it’s interesting to note that all four of The Cottagers points have come against those two teams below them in the table.
Leicester, meanwhile, have only dropped points against teams currently in the top eight so far this season, and facing such inferior opposition makes backing a Foxes win look very good value. They have scored at least three goals in four league games this season but, with Fulham scoring in four of their last five games, a 3-1 correct score prediction makes the most sense.
Timothy Castagne is a doubt here after missing last weekend’s trip to Anfield, while Daniel Amartey, Caglar Soyuncu, Wilfred Ndidi and Ricardo Pereira are all ruled out.
Jamie Vardy will return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in midweek, while Nampalys Mendy and Youri Tielemans are likely to replace Dennis Praet and Hamza Choudhury in the centre of the park.
Josh Onomah, Terence Kongolo and Kenny Tete are all sidelined through injury for Fulham, but Aboubakar Kamara is available again after serving his suspension.
Aleksandar Mitrovic is expected back in the starting lineup, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is pushing for a start after his impressive showing off the bench last weekend.
