Leicester vs Arsenal Predictions
Leicester came from behind once again last weekend to earn a 2-2 draw against Stoke, with that man Riyad Mahrez leading his team to their 4th Premier League comeback in a row.
After Manchester City’s defeat to West Ham, this makes Leicester the only team in the league yet to lose a game. Not many would have predicted that!
Their extra time win over West Ham in the Capital One Cup will have kept the belief within the squad rolling on as well, and they just don’t seem capable of losing at the moment.
They are currently 4th in the league having collected 12 points from their opening six games, and they can extend the gap between them and 5th placed Arsenal to five points with a win on Saturday.
They will have to do this without the injured Matthew James though, although that’s nothing compared to Arsenal’s injury list.
They will be without Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere, Toma Rosicky, Per Mertesacker, and Francis Coquelin on Saturday, and they are still waiting to see if Gabriel will receive a suspension after the fiasco last weekend against Chelsea.
Their back to back defeats against Dinamo Zagreb and Chelsea will have hurt the Gunners fans, and once again they have reiterated their need for a world class striker. But a League Cup win over their North London rivals will have boosted morale.
Their loss against Chelsea was their first since the opening day of the season, but they really haven’t looked convincing in any of their performances.
With Arsenal’s lack of a clinical edge in front of goal they probably won’t be getting too many against Leicester. Add to that Leicester’s refusal to give up and I don’t think the home side will lose on Saturday. Odds of 21/20 for a Leicester Win or Draw Double Chance look incredibly good value as well considering they haven’t lost yet this season.
