Leicester vs Chelsea Betting Tips

We’re all waiting for Leicester to slip up, but it just doesn’t seem to be happening. Jamie Vardy couldn’t continue his record breaking goalscoring streak last weekend, but it didn’t matter because Riyad Mahrez stepped up to the plate to net a hat trick as they beat Swansea 3-0.

This makes it four wins and a draw in their last five matches in the Premier League, and they have only lost once in the league all season.

This has taken Leicester inexplicably to the top of the Premier League table as we approach the halfway point in the season, with their 32 point total giving them a two point lead over Arsenal.

That is the position Chelsea were expecting to be in at the start of the season, but it hasn’t turned out so well for them. They are in 14^th position in the league after picking up just a point per game so far this season in what must be the worst attempt at defending the Premier League in history.

They put in a shocking performance at home to Bournemouth last weekend, and the visiting relegation candidates fully deserved their 1-0 victory over them.

But Chelsea did manage to get a 2-0 win over Porto in midweek, and their qualification to the Champions League knockout stages potentially saved Jose Mourinho’s job.

This made it three wins, one draw, and one loss for Chelsea in their last five matches in all competitions, but their inconsistency will be a real frustration to Chelsea fans.

The odds for a Leicester win are very good value at 11/5, but with Chelsea sometimes looking like they are back in form I think a better bet is to go for a Leicester Win or Draw Double Chance at 8/13, as well as a 2-2 correct score prediction at excellent value odds of 14/1.
