      Leicester vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

Leicester City emptied the Stadium of Light on the opening day of the Premier League season a few weeks ago.

The in form Riyad Mahrez dictated play, and Leicester found themselves 3-0 up within the firs thalf an hour of the game. It was all too much for some Sunderland fans, and there was a steady stream of people leaving the ground by half time.

The game ended 4-2 to the visiting side, and they followed this up by bringing West Ham crashing back down to earth in a 2-1 win at Upton Park.

Now, they play at the King Power Stadium for the first time this season, and hope to take advantage of Spurs’ relatively poor form.

Spurs didn’t really turn up on the opening day of the season when they lost 1-0 at Old Trafford. They managed to get 2 goals in front the following week against Stoke, but after switching off defensively they allowed Stoke to get back in it, ending the game 2-2.

The main worry will be up front for them though. Harry Kane was taken off as a precaution halfway through the second half, and their lack of depth in the striker position was made evident by his replacement being Erik Lamela, a winger.

They are hoping to bring in Saido Berahino this week, but he’s unlikely to be ready to play in time for Saturday’s matches. This means that it all lies upon Harry Kane’s shoulders, and the pressure will begin to build in his mind if he doesn’t get on the scoresheet this weekend.

However, Spurs did manage to net twice last weekend, and they look relatively poor at the back. The home side have been in a free scoring mood so far, and their defence is pretty shaky as well. I can’t look beyond an Over 2.5 Goals bet at odds of 4/5 for this one.
