After a slow start to the season, Lens are unbeaten in six matches across all competitions, drawing three of those games, while PSV have drawn three of their last five away matches in the Champions League (including qualifying).

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Lens drew 1-1 with Lille in their most recent home fixture in Ligue 1 and that scoreline could be replicated on Tuesday, especially as PSV are hard to beat on the road in the Champions League and both teams are aiming to protect unbeaten runs.

Lens vs PSV Predictions

  • Lens have drawn their last two matches in Ligue 1
  • The French club have only lost once in seven Champions League home matches
  • PSV have drawn three of their last five Champions League away games (including qualifying)

Lens finding their feet after slow start

Lens failed to win any of their opening six matches of the new domestic season, but they have taken four points from their two Champions League games to date and are now unbeaten in six across all competitions.

Franck Haise’s side have drawn three times during that unbeaten run, including in their last two games against Lille and Le Havre, meaning five of their 11 matches so far this season have ended all-square.

This is Lens’ third Champions League campaign and they have only lost one of their previous seven home matches in the competition, registering four wins and two draws.

PSV struggling to replicate domestic form in Europe

PSV have registered nine wins from nine in the Eredivisie this season, but they have struggled to replicate that form in Europe, taking just one point from their opening two matches in Group B.

Peter Bosz saw his side thrashed 4-0 at Arsenal on Matchday One, but that is the only defeat they have suffered across their last five Champions League away games (including qualifying), with three of those contests ending in draws.

These two sides are both hard to beat and they could share the spoils on Tuesday, with 1-1 – the result from Lens’ last home game against Lille – appearing a more than possible outcome.
