Lens Backed to Keep Rolling at Bollaert-Delelis

Lens should be backed to get a home win against Strasbourg on Saturday. Pierre Sage’s side got a big win in their last Ligue 1 game and will be confident of getting the better of Liam Rosenior’s team at Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

They secured a commanding 4-1 win over Monaco two weeks ago, defying odds of 21/10.

Lens are third in Ligue 1, one place above Strasbourg, with both teams having won more games than they’ve lost this season. The hosts have eight wins and three defeats from their 12 games, while the visitors have won seven and lost four.

Strasbourg are on a poor run of results, having lost their last two Ligue 1 away games and failed to win any of their last three on the road.

The recent results inspire confidence in the home side. Lens have won six of their last eight Ligue 1 matches and have gone into this game on the back of a five-game winning streak at home.

Strasbourg may struggle to keep Lens out. They have scored an average of 1.50 goals a game in their six Ligue 1 games against other top-half teams this season and have netted three goals or more in four of their 12 league games overall.

The visitors have been disappointing defensively away from home this season, conceding 14 goals in six road games – an average of 2.33 goals per game. Strasbourg have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five Ligue 1 away games.

There has been over 2.5 goals in eight of Strasbourg’s last ten Ligue 1 matches and, with Lens winning two of their last three home games 2-1, a narrow 2-1 victory for Lens is the correct-score pick.
