Solid start from Leuven

The hosts have made an excellent start to the new campaign having won two of their opening three matches and find themselves occupying sixth place in the table. They do come into this one off the back of a loss but that came away at early league leaders Antwerp. Their preparation for the new campaign could not have gone much better as they managed to score in each game and scored two or more in our of those five fixtures. They’ll be confident of causing problems against a Club Brugge outfit that are already five points off top spot with just three matches played.

The visitors have made a poor start to the new season have won one, drawn one and lost one of their three opening matches. They’ll be desperate for improvement and will want to use this game as a springboard to kickstart the rest of their campaign. If the recent head-to-head record is anything to go by then they should feel confident as they haven’t lost any of the last four meetings with the hosts and have managed to get on the scoresheet at least once in all of the last 14 meetings.

Goals look likely at the Den Dreef Stadium
