Levante beginning to find some form

It took some time for Levante to find their feet after their relegation from La Liga, but three victories in a row shows that they are beginning to acclimatise to the second tier.

Mehdi Nafti’s side have been pretty decent on home soil this season, where they have won three of their five outings, including a 4-1 thumping of Villarreal II.

The Valencia outfit also have a strong record against Gijon, whom they have lost to just twice in their last 16 meetings since 2000!

Gijon faltering on the road

Sporting Gijon have what it takes to maintain a promotion push this year as they attempt to return to La Liga, but their dreadful away form must improve.

Abelardo Fernández’s side have gone four games without a win in the road, failing to score in three of those, including a 5-0 thrashing at Granada.

Indeed, they have won just three of their last eight at all venues, while three of their five strikes on their travels this season came in one game – a 3-1 victory at Ponferradina.

I predict that Levante will win this game, and I think they could do so reasonably comfortably, with 2-0 my correct score prediction.
