Leyton Orient vs Morecambe Predictions

It’s a key game for rookie manager Danny Webb as his Leyton Orient side host Morecambe on Tuesday night and we are backing the new man in charge to get his first three points as Orient boss. Given that the side is in such poor form at the minute we feel the sensible option is to add the ‘Draw – No Bet’ clause to the bet, which is available at a reasonable 4/6 with bet365. For our correct score tip we see it being a tight game and with both defences leaking plenty of goals we are backing a 2-1 home win at 17/2 with the same site.

Leyton Orient are now on to their fourth manager of the season and their 10th since 2014, but among all the doom and gloom they managed to turn in a decent performance at the weekend and almost managed to upset title hopefuls Carlisle. Even though the club has been bouncing from crisis to crisis, it has had a 112 year stay in the Football League and if this run is to be extended then results will have to start turning round sooner rather than later. On paper the talent is there and they were tipped by many for the title at the start of the season, but with last season’s top scorer Jay Simpson leaving the club after six months of wrangling, this season has seen more of the downward spiral that seems to have cursed owner Francesco Becchetti.

The good news for O’s fans is that they have yet to fail to take anything other than all three points from Morecambe, and even though that is only over three meetings it does represent a jolt of hope that has been missing in recent weeks.

Morecambe also have their own problems, a court order has delayed the impending takeover to Italian businessman Joseph Cala, which means the players are still to be paid their salary. A credible point from leaders Doncaster at the weekend took them another point towards safety, and even though they have a seven point cushion over the drop zone that will surely be manager Jim Bentley’s only concern.
