Lille rock solid at home

On first glance, Lille’s form of late looks patchy, with three wins and three defeats from their last six outings.

That means they have sunk a little off the pace for the Ligue 1 title, but when isolating just their home results, the Mastiffs have been in outstanding touch, registering four successive victories at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

They will be confident of extending that run, which actually extends to 11 games without defeat, while further confidence is drawn from an nine game unbeaten run in head-to-heads against opponents Rennes.

Can Rennes maintain European push?

The visitors have shown some decent form of their own of late, but their hopes of finishing in the top six were dealt a huge blow in losing 2-1 at home to Lorient last time out.

That ended a four-match unbeaten run, which includes a 1-1 draw at PSG, the most recent of five away league games without losing.

Julien Stéphan’s side have found picking up three points tough on their travels though, with their trio of successes on their travels all coming against teams currently in the bottom half.

They should be good value for a goal, as they have netted in 14 of their last 15 outings, but Lille pose a tough test.
