With less than half of the season gone, there is still plenty of time for twists and turns in the race for the League Two title. This weekend, two local rivals who are well fancied to be right up there come the end of the season go head to head as top of the table Lincoln City welcome an in form Mansfield Town side to Sincil Bank for what is sure to be a thrilling afternoon of football.

Lincoln City have won just one of their last four League 2 matches and their place in the division’s top two grows ever more precarious as the chasing pack close the gap. Fortunately for the Imps, they have one of the best home records in the division with an impressive return of 20 points coming from their nine matches on home soil so far. However, things have not gone as well of late and with 11 goals conceded in their previous seven outings in all competition, it is easy to see where they need to improve if they are to return to the sort of form which got them to the top of the league in the first place.

Fifth-placed Mansfield Town could move to within two points of their high-flying hosts by securing a third consecutive League 2 victory, and after a slow start to the season it has been quite the turnaround. The Stags go into this match undefeated in their previous 11 matches league matches and given that they have been undefeated in their previous nine away encounters in the league, they will certainly go into this match fully expectant of a positive result.

Although Lincoln are the current top dogs in League Two, the relative form of these sides going into this match means we a surprised to see the visitors priced quite as high as they are. We plan to take full advantage of that large price though, although we would advise to proceed with caution. With this in mind, we think that backing Mansfield on the ‘Draw – No Bet’ option is the best way to go.
