Liverpool vs Exeter City Betting Tips

Liverpool played an extremely young and inexperienced team in their FA Cup 3^rd Round match against Exeter City last weekend, and it resulted in them being taken to a replay back at Anfield. It could have been worse though considering they twice trailed to the League Two side.

Jurgen Klopp hinted that a similar team would be played in the replay, and we could well see the up and coming Liverpool players again.

Liverpool followed up this draw with another thrilling draw against Arsenal and then a less than impressive 1-0 defeat to arch rivals Manchester United on Sunday. This makes it one win, two defeats, and two draws in their last five matches in all competitions.

Exeter also followed up their excellent result against Liverpool with a draw, but then added a victory when they beat Leyton Orient 3-1 on Saturday. This ended their six match winless streak and will have given them a nice boost of confidence ahead of this huge clash.

Liverpool’s inexperience showed in the first match between these sides. The defence had gaping holes all through it and Adam Bogdan had a terrible evening. If they field the youngsters again I think Exeter can get a goal or two at Anfield. Liverpool have little option but to field an inexperienced defence as well, what with their numerous injury concerns at centre back.

Add that to the buzz the players will be feeling as they walk out onto the famous pitch and I think Exeter City will find the back of the net. Odds of 10/11 for Both Teams to Score are looking very good to me.

I do think Liverpool will get the win though, and a narrow 2-1 victory at odds of 17/2 is looking an appealing bet at the moment.
