Draw

Reason for tip

Both Luton and Brighton are in good form after recording notable away wins in the FA Cup last time out.  The Hatters have lost once in seven, while the Seagulls are unbeaten in six and it would be no surprise to see these two sides extend those impressive runs by sharing the spoils.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

The draw is on the cards for these two in-form sides and it should certainly be a score-draw, as Brighton have netted nine across their last two away games, while Luton have struck in 10 of their last 11. In five of their last 17 matches, Brighton have played out a 1-1 draw, an outcome that could repeat itself on Tuesday.

Joao Pedro To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Joao Pedro has scored seven across his last five Brighton appearances, including a hat-trick in the cup success over Sheffield United last time out. The Brazilian has 18 goals for the season across all competitions, three times as many as any other Brighton player.

Luton vs Brighton Predictions

  • Luton have only lost once in seven matches across all competitions
  • Brighton are unbeaten in six, drawing three of those games
  • Joao Pedro has scored seven in his last five games for Brighton

In-form duo to share the spoils

After a difficult start to their time in the Premier League, Luton appear to be adjusting well to life as a top-flight club, as they have only lost one of their last seven matches across all competitions.

The Hatters will also be buoyed by their 2-1 win at Everton in the FA Cup last time out, a success that was achieved thanks to Cauley Woodrow’s strike deep into second-half stoppage time.

Brighton also enjoyed FA Cup success on the road at the weekend, triumphing 5-2 at Sheffield United to extend their current unbeaten run to six matches.

Three of those six games have ended in draws and Tuesday’s match at Kenilworth Road could also finish all-square.

Score draw would provide no surprise

Luton have drawn two of their last four matches, the most recent of those was a 1-1 away at relegation rivals Burnley earlier this month.

Brighton are also no strangers to a 1-1 scoreline, a result that has occurred in five of their last 17 matches across all competitions.

The Seagulls also know where the back of the net is, netting nine across their last two away games, while Luton have struck in 10 of their last 11. Expect both teams to bag on Tuesday in what could prove an entertaining 1-1 draw.

In-form Pedro to keep on firing

Joao Pedro has proved an inspired signing for Brighton, as the summer arrival from Watford has struck 18 goals across all competitions, three times as many as anyone else in Roberto De Zerbi’s squad.

Seven of those goals have come across the Brazilians last five appearances, including a hat-trick in Saturday’s cup triumph over Sheffield United.

Having also netted in Brighton’s 4-1 home win over Luton back in August, Pedro will expect to continue his hot-streak at Kenilworth Road.
