Luton vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions
- Tottenham have 17 points from five games (W5, D2).
- Spurs have just one clean sheet in five away fixtures.
- Luton have scored in five of their seven league games, including all three of their home fixtures.
Unbeaten Spurs head to Luton
Tottenham picked up a controversial 2-1 win over Liverpool last weekend but should have an easier time of it in the early kick off on Saturday as they head to Luton.
The Hatters claimed a 3-1 win at Everton last weekend after picking up their first point of the new campaign against Wolves in the previous round of fixtures, but then conceded late on in midweek in a 2-1 defeat at home to Burnley.
There are signs the promoted side are beginning to grow acclimatised to life in the Premier League but in-form Spurs should be able to win fairly comfortably.
Back Spurs to win and concede
Spurs are short price favourites for this game and the best value option looks to be backing the visitors to win and both teams to score.
Tottenham have five wins and two draws from seven games but have managed just two clean sheets in the league, while they have just one in five away games across all competitions – shipping seven goals in total on their travels.
Luton have been scoring and have managed goals in five of their seven league games, while they have scored in all three of their home assignments, so the hosts should at least be able to grab a consolation effort.
Son key to Spurs form
Son Heung-min has six goals in seven Premier League appearances and three of those have come in his last two games. The South Korean’s pace should trouble the Luton backline and he looks a strong contender for an anytime goal.
Luton conceded four goals in the opening round of fixtures against Brighton but since then have been better at the back and have conceded a further 10 in their following six league games. However, Spurs have shown they can score heavily on occasion – putting five past Burnley at Turf Moor – and if they score early it could be a tough afternoon for the hosts so a 4-1 win for the North London outfit is the correct score prediction.
