Le Havre Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Lyon face another tough test this week after losing four of their last five Ligue 1 games (D1). The bottom side in France’s top flight meet Le Harve, who have lost only once since gaining promotion. The visitors have scored twice in three of their first four games and Lyon are yet to lead at any point so far this season, so back Le Harve to take something from this clash.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Le Harve have drawn 2-2 in each of their last two away trips and they can trouble a Lyon side who have conceded at least twice in four of their last five league games. The hosts have seen BTTS in 11 of their last 13 Ligue 1 outings, so back a high-scoring draw between these two.

Lyon vs Le Havre Predictions

  • Lyon sit bottom of the Ligue 1 table with just one point to their name so far
  • The hosts have lost four of their last five league games
  • Le Harve have lost only once across their opening four games this season

Can Lyon recover?

Lyon’s early season form has been dreadful, with the club bottom of Ligue 1 after taking one point from their opening four matches. After 4-1 defeats to both Montpellier and PSG alongside a 2-1 defeat against Strasbourg, it’s been a limp start for Lyon.

It hasn’t come as a huge surprise, with the club finishing seventh last term before losing key names in the transfer market. While the club are close to appointing Fabio Grosso as their new manager, their problems run much deeper than the dugout.

Le Harve to put up a fight

Lyon have been made odds-on favourites to return to winning ways this weekend but that’s hard to justify when you look at their opponents. Le Harve may be back at this level for the first time since 2009, but they’ve lost just one of their first four matches.

The visitors have picked up 2-2 draws at both Montpellier and Rennes already, while they beat Lorient 3-0 earlier this month. They meet a Lyon side who have now lost four of their last five Ligue 1 games, conceding 13 goals along the way.

Lyon are the only team in Ligue 1 2023/24 who are yet to lead at any point in a match and that doesn’t lend itself to them running away with this one. Le Harve look good in front of goal, so back them to match Lyon and come away with at least a point.
