Lyon vs Nantes Predictions

Lyon looking to close the gap

The hosts were involved in a 3-3 thriller last time out, as late Alexandre Lacazette double salvaged a point. But a return to home soil will be welcomed considering they have lost just three league games at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais this campaign and they look well placed to secure a victory here. No side has conceded fewer goals on home soil than the hosts this season but they have been somewhat spread out, arriving in nine of their 13 home games.

The visitors are having an awful campaign and do not come into this one in good form having failed to win six of their last seven competitive games. This will be something of a warmup for the Coupe de France semi-final that will take place between these two in three weeks’ time but Nantes need to sharpen up as they sit just six points above the relegation zone. However, they have managed to hit the back of the net in all of their last five road games and given Lyon always give you chances to score, they should be good for a goal here.

Nantes to suffer on the road once again

We think there will be chances for both sides to score. However, Nantes will struggle to keep Lyon at bay and the hosts come into this one as heavy favourites. As such we will side with a Lyon win and both teams to score.
