Mansfield Town vs Carlisle Predictions

• Carlisle have lost six of their last seven away league games.
• Mansfield have won four of their last five league matches.
• Carlisle have failed to score in three of their last five away fixtures in League Two.

After overcoming Doncaster in the FA Cup on Saturday, Mansfield have now won seven of their last eight games and are flying under Nigel Clough who took the reins back on November 6th.

He has taken them from the pits of relegation to play-off hopefuls and only league leaders Forest Green have taken more points (13) than Mansfield (12) have from their last five matches. They are up to 15th and now closer to the top seven than the bottom two.

The Stags are also unbeaten in five at home winning three in succession including back-to-back victories in League Two as hosts and I think they are a great price to extend that winning run here.

Carlisle’s away day woes to continue

The visitors arrive here off the back of an FA Cup exit to Shrewsbury at the weekend and despite winning just their third league game this season, last weekend, they have struggled this season.

Victory over Walsall lifted the Blues out of the bottom two but a large part of their worries have been away from home. Carlisle took four points from their first two away games this season but have taken just one from the last 21 on offer having lost six of their last seven games on the road.

With just seven goals scored on their travels, I don’t see them finding the net here and they have conceded just over two goals per game on average so I’m predicting 2-0 in the correct score market.
