Marseille to maintain impressive record

Marseille are flying high in Ligue 1 and they should be able to keep up their pursuit of leaders Paris St-Germain with a win over Auxerre on Friday.

OM have dominated this fixture and we predict another win for the Velodrome men when the pair lock horns again this week.

Marseille got back to winning ways last week with a 2-1 win away to Nantes, erasing the memory of their 3-0 home defeat to PSG a week prior.

And Roberto De Zerbi’s men had made hard work of things on home soil this season, so they may not have things all their own way against improving Auxerre.

The Blue & Whites made a slow start to life back in the top flight with five defeats in their opening seven league matches, but they have steadied the ship with two wins and a draw, culminating in last week’s stunning 4-0 victory over Rennes.

However, they have lost on six of their last eight trips to the Velodrome, and even though Marseille have looked shaky on home soil an OM win with both teams scoring is our main prediction.

And he can play his part in a match which looks likely to finish 2-1 to the home side.
