Marseille vs Bastia Betting Tips

Marseille’s season has already been well-documented and the club will have probably been happier than any other about having a break to re-group after the early managerial change.

On the field, disappointment has been the dominant emotion this season. None more so than when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Guingamp in their most recent game. Still, Bastia are no pushover opponent, in fact they are currently sixth in the Ligue 1 table with two wins from their first four matches. Their first loss of the season came in a 2-1 defeat to St Etienne before the international break, they’ve beaten Guingamp and Rennes, and drawn with Lorient.

They might be a little uncertain as to how to approach this game. Typically, a trip to Marseille would be a fasten down the hatches type of game, but there have been plenty of signs of weakness early this season.

We also back Bastia to score because we’re convinced that they’ll be a top half football team this season. There’s structure, young players and scoring ability in this line-up. They deserve plaudits for their early season performances.
