Melbourne Victory won the Hyundai A-League Premier title last season by topping the regular season table, and they then went on to win the Championship over Sydney FC in the playoff series final.

But this season they are aiming to go even further by swooping a domestic treble. They have already wrapped up the FFA Cup with a 2-0 win over Perth Glory in the Final, and they haven’t made a bad start in the A-League either.

They have won four of their opening six league matches, with a defeat to Newcastle Jets and a draw with Adelaide United marring their record.

But Victory are currently on a five match winning streak in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and conceding three in return.

This leaves them in 2^nd position in the A-League, one point adrift of leaders Brisbane Roar but with a game in hand due to their participation in the FFA Cup Final.

They have drawn three and lost four of their seven A-League matches, conceding 15 goals and scoring seven in the process.

This leaves them rock bottom of the Hyundai A-League, although an unlikely win on Saturday could move them up to 8^th in the table.

Melbourne Victory haven’t lost to Adelaide United in any of their last eight meetings, with four wins and four draws for the home side over the past few years.

Melbourne Victory have won four of their last five matches by at least a two goal margin, and they come up against a side who have conceded 14 times in their last five matches and lost by more than one goal in four of their last five games.
