Mexico vs Canada Predictions

Mexico still sit in top spot of Group A, with Canada in 2nd. Mexico started the round with two easy wins. While Canada beat bottom of the group Honduras 1-0, before drawing 0-0 against El Salvador, after not being able to capitalise on their chances. Before the sides met last week with Mexico coming out on top 0-3.

Canada will be hoping for another draw in the fixture between Honduras and El Salvador, which would keep them in 2nd place, even in the instance they lose again in this game to Mexico.

Mexico started their Group A group with a 3-0 victory over El Salvador at home, before heading to San Pedro Sula to beat Honduras 2-0, second half goals from Jesus Corona and Jurgen Damm making the difference. Yet to concede in the group round, Mexico will be feeling confident in their progression towards the 2018 World Cup.

Two first half goals from Javier Hernandez, Hirving Lozano and a well worked second half goal from Jesus Corona saw Mexico easily run out winners in this fixture last week in Vancouver. The Mexicans perhaps slightly wasteful only to convert 3 of their 8 shots on target. Canada had some half chances during the game, but Mexico controlled the game with ease, bossing possession.

Last weeks 0-3 win in the reverse fixture was a walk in the park for Mexico, they will be hoping to repeat the feat this week on home soil and all but confirm their qualification from the group. Get Mexico to win both halves at 1/1 with bet365.
