Mexico vs Iceland Predictions
- Mexico have only conceded one goal in their last three matches.
- Iceland have lost nine of their last 11 matches.
Iceland struggles to continue in Texas
Mexico come into Sunday’s game with a good track record against Iceland, having beaten them twice in the last two meetings, 3-0 and 1-0 respectively. A positive result here will set them up nicely for the Concacaf Gold Cup in July.
The South Americans also beat a strong Netherlands side 1-0 in October, with the only blot on their copybook recently being a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wales.
Gerardo Martino’s men have only conceded one goal in the last three games and they can continue their good defensive record against a struggling Icelandic forward line.
Iceland have lost nine of their last 11 games and have failed to score in three of the last four, including a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Armenia in a World Cup qualifier in March.
Mexico are therefore taken to see off an out of sorts Icelandic team who have shown in recent games that they are not the team they were at the European Championships five years ago.
With all the above considered, Mexico to win 2-0 is the recommended correct score prediction.
