Midtjylland vs Legia Warsaw Betting Tips

Midtjylland have finally managed to reach the long awaited group stages of the Europa League after multiple years of trying and failing.

They managed to take advantage of Southampton’s poor start to the season in the Europa League playoffs with a 1-0 win in Denmark after securing a draw at St Mary’s.

They followed this with a 2-0 win over Hobro and a goalless draw away at Brondby to take their unbeaten streak to nine matches in all competitions.

They are at the top of the Danish Superliga as well having collected 18 points from their opening eight games, so all in all it’s a pretty good time to be a Midtjylland fan.

Legia Warsaw are regulars in this stage of the competition, having appeared in the group stages in four of the past five seasons.

They have made the Round of 32 on a couple of occasions as well, but not managed to progress further than this yet.

Midtjylland could be a bigger hurdle than many first thought though. They showed a good level of tactics and organisation in their match against Southampton and haven’t conceded more than one goal in a game since their Champions League qualifier exit to APOEL.

It doesn’t help that Legia Warsaw aren’t in the best form coming into this game either. They have only won twice in their last six matches, with two of these games ending in defeat.

This puts them in 4^th place in the Polish Ekstraklasa after picking up 12 points from their opening eight games this season.

I can’t see Midtjylland giving anything away to Legia Warsaw on Thursday, so I’m expecting a low scoring game in Denmark. Odds of 8/13 for Under 2.5 Goals may look short, but I think they still offer some value considering the home side haven’t seen more than two goals scored in any of their last nine games.
