Mjallby vs BK Hacken Predictions

  • Allsvenskan leaders Hacken have an average xG of 2.21 compared to Mjallby’s 0.94.
  • Hacken have won two of their last three Allsvenskan away matches.
  • Striker Alexander Jeremejeff has scored nine times in Hacken’s last eight games.

Jeremejeff provides the sting for in-form Wasps

BK Hacken have the firepower to stay at the top of the Allsvenskan when they meet mid-table Mjallby at Strandvallen on Sunday. The Wasps have created a real buzz in Gothenburg this season with their free-flowing style and remarkable goal production.

No team in Sweeden’s top-flight can match their output of more than two goals per game and that almost exactly marries up to their league-high xG of 2.21. In Alexander Jeremejeff, Hacken have the Allvesnskan’s deadliest marksman right now as the tall striker has already hit 12 goals – five more than the next player in the scoring charts.

Jeremejeff can still be backed at odds-against prices for this trip to Hällevik, which seems a steal given he has bagged nine goals in Hacken’s last eight games and has become the first player to score in eight consecutive Allvesnskan contests since 1965.

Mjallby moving in the wrong direction

Mjallby also appear to be moving in a downward direction after winning only three of their last 10 games. Their main goal hopes will be pinned on 18-year-old Nigerian Silas Nwankwo, who poked home their winner against AIK last weekend.

That was a good result for the visitors, but AIK were so poor that they were booed off the pitch by their own fans. In contrast to Hacken’s xG numbers, Mjallby are ranked second-lowest in the league with 0.94 and, if this match goes to form, they will struggle to trouble the table-toppers.

The Wasps should win on Sunday and look good enough to side with at better than even-money while a smaller stakes play on a 2-0 away win has appeal given the visitors have scored exactly two goals in each of their last three road trips. However, the hosts are probably worth a goal here given Hacken are still to keep a clean sheet 12 games into the league season.
