Dons to round off season with a victory

MK Dons have been ending the season strongly, as only champions Hull have accumulated more points across the last 10 games than Russell Martin’s side.

The Dons have particularly impressed on home soil of late, winning five of their last six at Stadium MK, and they could have been serious playoff contenders had they shown the same form earlier in the season.

Rochdale’s seven-season stay in League One will end on Sunday, with relegation having been confirmed following last weekend’s home defeat to Doncaster.

Dale had been on a five-match unbeaten run prior to that loss, but they have struggled for wins all season, particularly away from home over recent months, as they have won just two of 13 matches on the road since the turn of the year.

It is unlikely we will see any final heroics from Brian Barry-Murphy’s side on Sunday, as Rochdale have only won one of their last 13 meetings with MK Dons.

Sunday’s hosts claimed a 4-1 victory when the sides met at Spotland earlier in the season and we are predicting another victory for the Dons on Sunday, although our predicting if for a slightly less emphatic 3-1 success this time around.
